Dealing with yourself and another in a loving, friendly way, is actually what you learn in mindfulness and compassion training. Your thoughts, feelings and emotions often come and go and often make fun of you. You are busy in your head, you suffer from intense emotions and you want something from that. Becoming mindful means becoming aware of everything that takes place within you. Stop for a moment and look, listen, taste and experience what that sensation does to you… We are not used to this in our normal lives, we just go on and on. In a mindfulness training you get various exercises and theory to bring your busy head to a stop and thus gain more insight into what is happening with you without you having to do anything with it. .
