Why Pilates?
I’ve found the restoration of my muscle imbalance by slow performance of movements in this method. Lengthening away from the strong centre, as well as relieving tension in the body and mind by constantly being aware of how I am moving and breathing, focusing on every movement that is made.
It has been helping me as a dancer to keep my body in shape and fit after having a break.
The Pilates method was invented by Joseph Pilates and he created it precisely as a way to harmonise and unite the body, mind and spirit. Pilates coordinates the body by means of deep muscles. With regular exercise, it can change the shape.
